La anestesia epidural o anestesia peridural es la introducción de anestésico local en el espacio epidural.

La importancia del conocimiento de esta técnica radica en las complicaciones que se pueden presentar:

Cefalea postpuncional

Fístula de LCR (tratable con inyección de sangre en el espacio epidural).

Hemorragia subaracnoidea

Hematoma subdural
